In the evening of the God of Creation day, I was able to see my first village after being summoned into this world. The God of Creation day means that it is Friday, it has been three days since I broke up with Kantarou.
The village doesn’t have such thing like a fence on its boundary, wheat fields was spread on the side as far as I could see, and houses are gathered in the middle of everything and formed an urban area.

I’m not sure if I should call this place a village, the number of building exceeds 100, and the population seems to be large. The scale is bigger than I thought for a village.
All the buildings are made of stone and they have cute red roof on top.
I’ve seen children playing around when I entered the village, the security of this place seems to be good.

“…..Somehow this is more normal than I expected”
“Isn’t it natural”
We’re near the center of the village. There are many colorful items lined up on the shop nearby and some housewives and aunty are shopping around normally. The place is quite lively.

Somehow it feels like I just came into a medieval Europe, it’s a strange feeling. I was overwhelmed by the stone building, and Yuela is looking at the mesmerized me curiously.
“Are you interested in architecture ?”

Perhaps it might be true. I have travelled alone and liked to see some historic buildings during it.

This is a bit rude toward the Onee-san, but when I compared the two of them who were lined up that way, Yuela’s beauty is truly overwhelming.  Yuela is tall and dignified, she truly stands out. The Onee-san also seems to be overwhelmed by Yuela.

Then while the Onee-san is teaching Yuela about the direction to the inn, she also steal some glances toward me. She’s been observing me keenly from my feet up to my head.

Yuela lowered her head lightly and thanked her and the Onee-san proceed to walks along the street. This moment is my first contact with the normal inhabitants of this world.

Yuela is a girl too after all. She understood well about people’s gaze and their body gesture. I can only smile and answered her ambiguously.
“After some quick look at the surrounding, my clothes sure are quite conspicuous aren’t they ?”
There are many people who are shopping and crowding around in the center of the village, however there’s no one who is dressed like me.

I was wearing jeans made in Italy. I bought it because I like the elegant deep blue color and also its fabric and shape. This alone seems to be enough to made me stood out among people.
“But that’s not all right”

It’s just as what Yuela said.
That Onee-san wasn’t looking at what I’m wearing earlier, she was staring at me myself with probing look.
“You’re used to being seen aren’t you”
“……I wonder”
It’s just as what she said again. I’m accustomed to being checked out by the girls. I was pretty popular in the world where I came from. However, there’s no way I could say that in front of Yuela who had been speaking grumblingly right.
“If Yuela stays by my side, I don’t need anything else”

So I told her my true feeling instead.
As long as I have Yuela, I don’t need anything else.
Yuela’s cheeks turned red quickly.

Yuela doesn’t change her facial expression much, she answered with her usual cool attitude.

Me and Yuela are walking toward the Inn that we learned from that Onee-san. While we were walking down the street, I could feel the villagers obvious gaze on us. It seems the people in this world don’t hesitate to stare at people.

I had touched the revolver on my left waist unconsciously. After being attacked by those adventurers, I tried carrying my gun with a hip holster. I feel like a gunman from western movie.
“Tonight we’re finally going to eat something different after a long while”

Yuela didn’t care about the villagers eyes and spoke to me normally. Yuela is used to being seen too, I thought of that but I didn’t voiced it out.
“What’s wrong, You’re not happy about it ?”
Yuela seems to be dissatisfied with my short reply.
“It’s because I’m plenty satisfied with Yuela’s handmade cooking”
It’s true. Yuela’s cooking is delicious, and I don’t really have any obsession with food in the first place. In my heart, I think that any meal would be fine as long as its nutritious and the quantity is sufficient.
“……You won’t get anything even if you compliment me”
Yuela said so embarrassedly. That didn’t necessarily count as compliment for Yuela, but if she’s happy about it then it’s fine.

“……This seems to be the place”
The accommodation that we learned from that onee-san isn’t far. I think this place still can be said located at the center of the village. It has an easy to understand signboard with beer mug drawing in front of the entrance.
“It’s a pretty building”

The building uses pure white stones for its outer walls, the roof is red like the other surrounding building, however the wooden frame and window is painted in red too and looks colorful.

When I entered the bar, an Ojii-san with shrewd glint in his eyes greeted me from behind the counter. He have an ominous atmosphere around him.
The appearance of this building and its store clerk aren’t balanced at all.
“Welcome, two people ?”
Let me correct that, there’s a charming Onee-san that seems to be the waitress of this place. This Onee-san is balanced with the appearance of this pretty building.
“It’s a bit crowded, are you fine with that table over here ?”
“Yes, that will be fine”
Yuela answered the waitress. Just like what she said, the bar area is a bit crowded. There are more than ten table seats and more than half of it are occupied.

We were seated at the table seat just in front of the counter.

About the food of this world, I think it doesn’t differ much with the food from my former world.

The waitress Onee-san answered my question with a glossy smile. I, on the other hand made a twisted expression.

The waitress Onee-san smiled again and answered. That’s right Onee-san, I came wearing mysterious clothes, while Yuela is in her kimono. There’s no way we could look like adventurers could we ?
“You see, the one using this store’s inn are mostly the young people in the village”

When I heard that, I understood immediately.  She had asked whether we want to use it  earlier, and this accommodation is located near the villagers home. I guess this place is something like a love hotel isn’t it.

Now I understand why that Onee-san was thinking for a while.
“Normal traveler have stayed at this inn too sometimes, would the two of you like to stay for the night too?”

Yuela glanced at me and answered after I had confirmed with a nod. Rather than a dedicated place for adventurers, I would rather stay in this inn.
“Alright, thank you for staying with us. I’m going to inform the master that you will be a guests”
By master, she means that eerie Ojii-san right ? The waitress Onee-san then proceed to walk toward the kitchen with a light step.

“The food here is quite good”
“Yeah, it’s delicious isn’t it”
The food is as good as the one I usually eat. If I were to live alone in this village, I’m sure to eat at this place every day. Yuela also looks like she’s satisfied.
“After a while, I can finally sleep in bed again tonight”
I came to understood this when I traveled in the past. To be able to sleep in a soft bed is a blessing for human beings. I could sleep in any environment, but I’m looking forward to tonight’s bed.
“……Yes, that’s right”
Yuela answered while sounding a bit lonely. Even thought we could sleep together in a bed tonight, we won’t be able to love each other due to the [Curse of the Goddess of Darkness], and today is not the God of Darkness day.
“……Sorry, Yuela”
“I said it right, I don’t mind it. Even with so, I still want to stay at your side”
I turned sad and apologized to Yuela, but she answered me back with smile on her face. Yuela is truly a commendable woman.
“……But, I’m going to expect it the day after tomorrow”
Yuela then said so embarrassedly while turning her face down and her cheeks flushed red.
That’s right, Yuela is someone from a Dragonkin race that have a very high libido. Yuela are looking forward to doing it with me.

The master lowered his head and apologized to us, and the two Onii-san also followed suit and lowered their heads. They seems to be a good people. Yuela had replied the master while waving her hand.

Afterward, those Onii-san continues chatting with smaller voice and we resumed the continuation of our meal, however since our seat are close with them, the content of their conversation comes to my ear normally.
“Rather than that, stonemason. You haven’t started on that newly planned building, at this rate I won’t be able to start my job either”
“What are you talking about. I’ve been working very hard with the stone foundation, I’m sure you know that carpenter”
It seems that stonemason is involved in a building construction.

The conversation between the villagers was a bit funny. My arms are going to rot, was it ?

“Yes, it might be not bad to eat at a store once in a while”
Yuela looks satisfied with this restaurant meal. But just because Yuela is a Dragonkin, it doesn’t mean that she eat a lot. She eat about the same with a normal girl.

Yuela muttered so gladly, her cheeks are flushed. It seems she responded to my wording once in a while.

I answered gently. Yuela’s cooking is always delicious.

Yuela answered him in a good mood.
“The two of you are planning to stay the night right ? It will be one white gold coin, separated from your meal right now”

I have plenty of funding for my journey. I take out a piece of white gold coin and handed it to the old man.

I was surprised and cried out aloud, so this world have coffee too.  There’s no doubt anymore, the food of this world is really the same like the world I came from.

The Onee-san is laughing gently. She obviously misunderstand the meaning behind my surprise.

When Onee-san called out the old man in the counter, he nodded without speaking. However when he walked to the back toward the kitchen, I think his light foot step expressed his content. Apparently the master truly likes coffee.

“How about you guys, is it time for your coffee ? You have work tomorrow right ?”
Then after taking our plate, she called out to the two Onii-san at the counter.
“True, should we go home soon ?”
The stonemason answered with a red face, he sounded be a bit tipsy.

However the carpenter seems like he haven’t drink enough.

Suddenly, a thunder-like sound erupted. The carpenter jumped up in surprise, so people can really jump while sitting on a chair when they’re truly surprised.

The old master who had came out from the kitchen is glaring at the carpenter with a terribly sharp eyes. He’s holding a tray with two cups of coffee in it.
“Treat that as an advice from this old one”

The two Onii-san looks dejected and apologized to the master. He’s truly an impressive old man.

The waitress Onee-san whispered that to my ear softly.

The master apologized for those two and put the two cup of coffee on our table.

He apologizes again and then walks into the counter.
The coffee that he brought had a completely black color.

The coffee’s bitterness is truly strong. It’s just like Kona Coffee, this taste is my favorite. the old master is truly awesome.
“I didn’t expect we could drink such coffee in this village”
Yuela seems satisfied too, she’s tasting her coffee while closing her eyes.
“Does Yuela also prefer coffee with strong bitter taste ?”

The master is in the kitchen right now, It seems he can’t hear the carpenter voice from there.

The carpenter answered Yuela’s question while raising his voice. There might be a backroom deal going on here, seems like the their dissatisfaction has accumulated a lot.

“Yeah, sorry…… excuse me stonemason, I’m going to the toilet”
The carpenter regained his calm, he then headed toward the toilet with a wobbly step.

My heart trembled in surprise. The carpenter changed his words to a part-time job, but he just boldly asked Yuela to do some prostitution.
